Does it know my sales tax?
It estimates the rate from your region and flags items that are tax-free where you are; you can override the rate anytime.
Do I need an account?
No — your list lives on your phone, and nothing syncs to a server.
What gets sent to the AI?
Only the photo or text of the item you’re scanning, used once to read it and never stored.
Does it work offline?
Your list and totals work fully offline; only reading a brand-new photo needs a connection.
